Serving Up Provisions of Hope

"Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others."
Philippians 2:4
Our Story
The Vanceboro Christian Help Center is an interfaith ministry of churches, organizations, businesses, and citizens of Craven County. The Center started approximately 40 years ago in a building without lights, water or heat. The mission was an attempt to assist families in crisis.
In 1994, the town aldermen granted permission for VCHC to move its' operations into the old Vanceboro Town Hall building. In1999, hurricanes Dennis and Floyd devastated the community. The Vanceboro Christian Help Center's volunteers worked tirelessly to meet people's needs. The Center not only provided aid, but it also provided hope.
Since then, VCHC has continued to serve those in need in our community from that same little block building. Additionally, we now have an on-site, climate-controlled warehouse for food storage & a climate controlled Thrift store.
The community has rallied around the services that the Center provides. The outpouring of support continues to aid our local community, change lives, and provide hope.
