Supporting Our Community Together

We can implement values, enhance lives and foster a sense of connection for everyone

Our Core Initiatives

Empowering change for a brighter tomorrow

Community
Outreach

In 2024, Vanceboro Christian Help Center (VCHC) impacted over 5000 families in the local community!

VCHC identifies and assesses the needs of the underserved individuals in the area. VCHC collaborates with other organizations and agencies to assist with meeting the immediate needs in the community.

Nourishment

VCHC's food pantry is a healthy pantry, offering fresh produce and healthier choices. Individuals shop for their own food like they would at a grocery store.

A senior food box program is available for seniors each month in addition to the weekly visits to the food pantry.

VCHC is associated with Central and Eastern NC Food Banks and Vanceboro Food Lion Retail program.

Apparel

VCHC's thrift store offers gently used clothes, personal items, and household items for a discounted price. The thrift store is open during regular VCHC hours.

Donations to the thrift store are accepted and greatly appreciated during our open store hours.

Fellowship

VCHC offers a fun and engaging night out! Everyone is welcome to attend. Come experience delicious food, engaging fellowship, meaningful devotions and fun crafts! Contact VCHC for more information on upcoming events.

Seats are limited, so please register at VCHC to attend.

Connecting Hearts and Helping Hands

Building a better future through compassion

Meeting the needs of our community is a main priority. The cost of groceries and household items is at an all-time high. Other contributing factors can make affordability difficult for the average family.

The number of single-parent families has increased. Most single parents do not receive their child support regularly. Some families face the struggle of limited education and/or training, making sufficient employment difficult.

Many elderly people live alone. Some spend a large amount of their income on medications or transportation. There aren't many programs in our community to assist with this present crisis.

There are many other needs within our community, and the Vanceboro Christian Help Center continues to work to meet these needs.
